French bread

Hot bread out of the oven – the ultimate comfort food .

 

It’s no secret that bread is what the French do best; in this class you will discover just how challenging and rewarding it is to make beautiful French baguettes and fougasse.

Baguettes you know about, but fougasse? 

Fougasse is a type of bread that comes from southern France that contains olive oil, which besides the toppings (we’ll have a buffet of cherry tomatoes, olives, red onions, bacon, rosemary and gruyere to choose from) gives it a wonderful texture and flavor.

If you would like, we can also include a cheese and charcuterie platter to accompany our hot-out-of-the-oven bread!

Price for this 3 hour class: $85/person*. If less than 10 participants in the class, $850.

*In certain circumstances, love offerings accepted (churches, non-profit organizations).

Host will need to provide the following:

- counter space for each participant to make their dough

- sufficient oven space for the number of participants

- ingredients (detailed shopping list will be provided)

Chef Justin will be equipped with knives, cutting boards, dough scrapers, rolling pins and baking trays.
